Indigo, cobalt, cerulean, turquoise, aqua etc. are colors that intrigue me. I never get tired of a version of blue. As have mentioned in earlier post, it started in the 1970’s when my best friend Missy and I would spend our afternoons looking at magazines and catalogues and fantasied our future homes. As adults and many homes later, a version of blue is a mainstay in our homes.

Late winter and early spring the home decorating world has joined the blue bandwagon. Pottery Barn has a catalogue titled Indigo. Wisteria and Williams Sonoma Home showcased their blue and white Asian jars. One Kings Lane and Joss and Main have entire categories dedicated to a version of blue.

As a designer, friends and clients ask about color trends. Colors will trend, but navy blue, black and white /cream are solid neutrals. They work with warm and cool color tones.
